About the event
On Wednesday, January 22, the Francophonie Committee has the great pleasure of welcoming Michèle Vianès, a Lyon-based feminist activist and a leading figure in the defense of women’s rights within the Francophone world and beyond.
Co-founder and President of Regards de Femmes, which she has helped elevate to national and international prominence, Michèle Vianès has spent over 25 years working to dismantle gender stereotypes, promote political and professional parity, and combat all forms of violence against women. Her unwavering commitment to the universality of human rights and to gender equality was recently recognized with her appointment to the High Council for Gender Equality in 2025.
Deeply engaged both on the ground and within Francophone institutions, she actively contributes to strengthening women’s rights and advancing women’s empowerment on an international scale. An inspiring encounter that will enrich our reflections and actions within the Francophone community! ✨
