About the event

In this session, Professor Blaise Carron will invite students to engage in a deep reflection on ethical leadership within complex institutional and legal contexts. A specialist in private law and international commercial arbitration, Professor Carron will draw on his experience in conflict resolution to examine the tensions between legal norms, political pressures, and moral clarity. Students will be encouraged to consider how leaders can operate within systems that do not always reflect their own values, and to explore the role of self-awareness, ethical responsibility, and inner coherence in the exercise of leadership.

Through concrete examples, the session will explore how to preserve one’s integrity in the face of power, political dynamics, and systemic challenges, and how strong personal values can guide leaders toward meaningful and sustainable change.
