About the event
Through Artificially Intelligent, David Eliot examines how the technology of artificial intelligence is actually very human. Defined by our choices, both in design and deployment, AI and data-driven systems are reshaping power, governance, and responsibility. In this session, he connects these themes to his own journey of writing a book, reflecting on the structural choices he made, the risks of departing from a conventional academic path, and the responsibility of shaping how complex ideas enter public discourse. The conversation approaches AI as a human-designed system grounded in judgment, values, and human flaws. By bringing together questions of technological governance and intellectual authorship, the session frames leadership as internal coherence β the discipline of aligning conviction, voice, and public engagement within rapidly evolving systems.
This event will also feature a book launch, where you will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of his book Artificially Intelligent
