Amber Diodati

Originally from Montreal, Amber is entering her third year in the civil law program at the University of Ottawa. She is simultaneously pursuing a Diplôme de 2e cycle en common law et droit transnational (Juris Doctor) at Université de Sherbrooke, reflecting her strong interest in developing a comprehensive legal education. She has a particular interest in constitutional and international law.
From a young age, Amber has been driven by a clear ambition to pursue law, a goal she has held since the age of eight. Throughout her academic journey, she has remained deeply involved in student life and leadership. In her second year, she served as Vice-President of the Défilé Fauteux, a charitable event that combines fashion, social awareness, and philanthropy, bringing together over 60 students. In this role, she contributed to the organization, outreach, and overall success of the event, helping raise awareness and support for important social causes. She also held the position of Vice-President of the Constitutional Law Association, further strengthening her leadership, teamwork, organizational, and communication skills.
This year, Amber was elected Vice-President of Communications for the Civil Law Students’ Association (AED), where she plays a key role in fostering connection and engagement within the student community. In parallel, she serves as President of Fauteux Radio, where she leads a dynamic team producing podcasts and short-form media content, while also introducing new initiatives such as the Journal de Fauteux, aimed at amplifying student voices and promoting meaningful dialogue.
Amber is driven by a strong commitment to human rights, with a particular interest in issues of equity, inclusion, and social justice. She is passionate about using her skills and leadership to support initiatives that foster meaningful impact, both within and beyond the legal field.
Amber’s leadership is grounded in creativity, initiative, and strong attention to detail. She is passionate about building collaborative spaces that bring people together, encourage expression, and highlight the diverse perspectives within the legal community.
Amber is fluent in both English and French.
