Rémi Bourget

Rémi Bourget was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2009. He practices primarily in civil and commercial litigation at RB Avocats, the firm he founded in 2021. In addition to businesses, organizations, and professionals, Mr. Bourget represents and advises clients on crisis management when their reputation is at stake.

A seasoned lawyer, he has distinguished himself through his social involvement in the student movement and within community and cooperative organizations.

For several years, he has been actively involved in defending the fundamental rights of minorities, notably as the founder of the organization Québec Inclusif. He has also defended human rights cases in court. Over the years, Mr. Bourget has received several awards and recognitions for his social involvement and his defense of vulnerable minorities, including the Community Relations Award presented by the Canadian Muslim Forum in 2014 and the Lys de la Diversité award presented by Média Mosaïque in 2015.

He served on the Board of Directors of the Québec Bar from 2024 to 2026, serving as Vice-President for the 2025–2026 term.​ Mr. Bourget regularly appears in the media to explain legal concepts in accessible terms. He has written a column for Urbania magazine and for Bell Media, and regularly appears on the Isabelle Richer show on RDI (CBC) to comment on current civil law issues.

In August 2026, Mr. Bourget will release his first novel, titled Promenades Hochelaga, published by Hurlantes Éditrices.

In his spare time, Mr. Bourget runs a maple syrup farm and oversees various construction and renovation projects. He is a hockey enthusiast and a die-hard fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
