Vuvu-Jude Mayenikini

Head of Strategic Research and Development

Vuvu-Jude is a third-year civil law student (LL.L.) at the University of Ottawa and is set to complete his studies in Spring 2027. Passionate about advancing human rights and social justice, he will serve as Head of Research and Development at the Human Rights Observatory at the UN.

Deeply engaged in both student and community life, Jude volunteered with the Anti-Racial Profiling Committee at the Clinique juridique de Saint-Michel and has been actively involved in several student associations and committees throughout his academic journey, always driven by a desire to give back to the community. In that same spirit, he helped revive and co-lead the Philanthropy Committee of the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa, a committee dedicated to community engagement and raising awareness about contemporary social issues.

Recognized for his leadership, Jude was elected President of the Civil Law Students’ Association (AED) for the 2026–2027 academic year after completing his term as Vice-President of Associative Affairs. Alongside his colleagues, he hopes to foster a student community that genuinely reflects and uplifts its members.
