Gabriela Flores is a creative strategist with over 17 years of experience in humanitarian action, social impact, and community development. She began her career with the World Food Programme, leading communications and advocacy campaigns across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. From post-disaster Haiti to the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels, she combined storytelling, diplomacy, and public engagement to support global food security initiatives.
In Canada, Gabriela co-founded two community-focused initiatives: Mess Hall, a culinary incubator in Toronto, and Bliss B4 Laundry, a wellness initiative dedicated to women. Through these projects, she has supported entrepreneurs and positively impacted thousands of lives.
Recognized for transforming bold ideas into meaningful and people-centered initiatives, Gabriela brings strategic vision, empathy, and collaborative leadership to her work across cultures and sectors. She currently serves as Chief Strategy and Leadership Programs Officer at the Human Rights Observatory at the UN, where she helps mentor and empower the next generation of engaged leaders.
