About the event
In this session, Dr. Lydie Belporo and Sahar Ghadhban will explore what it means to practice leadership grounded in lived experience—where resilience, identity, and moral clarity become guiding forces. Drawing on their professional journeys across cultural and institutional contexts, they will reflect on how leadership can emerge outside traditional hierarchies of status and power. Through personal stories of stepping into leadership, navigating challenges, and sustaining impact in complex settings, they will show how human rights leadership is often forged through authenticity and perseverance.
Students will be invited to consider how their own lived experiences can shape their voice, strengthen their credibility, and fuel meaningful change.
