Jean-Pictet Learning Resources

This section brings together in-depth analyses, student reflections, and pedagogical resources developed through the Observatory’s participation in the Jean-Pictet Competition. It is designed to support learning, transmission, and long-term institutional memory by preserving the intellectual and experiential work produced by each cohort.

Beyond documenting participation, these resources aim to make visible how students engage with international humanitarian law in practice, how their work circulates within academic and professional communities, and how it contributes to broader reflections on law, ethics, and humanitarian action. Particular attention is given to the accessibility, visibility, and durability of these materials, including through translation, cross-platform dissemination, and integration into teaching and research activities.

By bringing together analytical texts, reflective pieces, and knowledge-transfer tools, this section contributes to the Observatory’s broader Knowledge Hub. It supports future participants, researchers, and partners in understanding not only what is learned through Jean-Pictet, but how that learning continues to generate impact over time — within universities, institutions, civil society, and beyond.
