Me Anne-Sophie Veillette
Head of Research, Academic Training and Supervision
Anne-Sophie Veillette is a lawyer called to the Quebec Bar. She brings together a background in civil law, international development, and globalization. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Vanderbilt University in the United States and is distinguished by a rare combination of academic excellence and hands-on experience in the public sector. She currently works at the Office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada.
Anne-Sophie serves as Head of Research, Academic Training and Supervision at the Observatory of Human Rights at the UN. In this role, she teaches the methodology of empirical research in law and provides strategic oversight for the full spectrum of research projects involving students, pilots, and collaborators.
She also contributes to the Leadership Program by sharing her unique experience gained at institutions such as the Senate of Canada, the Department of Justice, and the International Criminal Court. Drawing on this background in legislative and judicial processes, she is committed to enhancing the next generation of leaders’ awareness of the pivotal role of research and knowledge creation as a catalyst for meaningful change.
