Valérie Boudreault

Program Manager at the Regional Committee on First Nations Languages

Valérie Boudreault is a 2026 fellow of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Indigenous Fellowship Program. With over 18 years of experience in Quebec’s public service, where she primarily advised the government on Indigenous relations, she now dedicates her expertise to supporting First Nations organizations.

Holding a Master’s degree in anthropology, she currently serves as a Program Manager at the Regional Committee on First Nations Languages, under the Assembly of First Nations Quebec-Labrador. Deeply convinced that Indigenous languages are a cornerstone of identity, she is committed to making a tangible impact in the defense of Indigenous linguistic and cultural rights.

As a member of the Nutashkuan Innu First Nation and of Québécois heritage, Valérie offers a unique perspective on Indigenous issues, government relations, and the daily challenges faced by Indigenous organizations. She firmly believes in the power of international Indigenous networks and the value of diverse expertise, united by a shared passion and an urgent—almost sacred—duty: honoring ancestors while paving the way for a future rooted in dignity and equality.
