Régis Labeaume

Régis Labeaume holds a degree in sociology from Université Laval and is a graduate of the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés. A prominent figure in Quebec public life, he served as Mayor of Quebec City from 2007 to 2021 and as President of the Communauté métropolitaine de Québec during the same period. He was also active on the international stage, notably serving as President of the Organization of World Heritage Cities and Vice-President of the International Association of Francophone Mayors.

Before becoming mayor, he worked in the political, entrepreneurial, and economic sectors, notably as President and CEO of the Fondation de l’entrepreneurship. Since 2022, he has been a columnist for La Presse, while also contributing to various television and radio programs and working as a public speaker.

Throughout his career, he has served on numerous boards of directors and has been involved with several Quebec organizations. Among his distinctions, he was named a Knight of the French Legion of Honour and is a recipient of the Medal of the National Assembly of Quebec.
