Me Rémi Bourget
Lawyer and Founder of RB Avocats
Me Rémi Bourget was called to the Quebec Bar in 2009. He primarily practises civil and commercial litigation and is the founder of RB Avocats, a law firm established in 2021. In addition to representing businesses, organizations, and professionals, he advises clients on crisis management matters, particularly when their reputation is at stake.
An experienced litigator, Me Bourget has distinguished himself through his longstanding commitment to social causes, including leadership within the student movement and active involvement in community and cooperative organizations.
For many years, he has been dedicated to defending the fundamental rights of minority communities, notably as the founder of *Québec inclusif*. He has also represented clients in numerous human rights cases before the courts.
Throughout his career, Me Bourget has received several awards recognizing his social engagement and advocacy for vulnerable minority communities, including the Community Relations Award presented by the Canadian Muslim Forum in 2014 and the *Lys de la Diversité* Award presented by Média Mosaïque in 2015.
From 2024 to 2026, he served on the Board of Directors of the Quebec Bar, including as Vice-President for the 2025–2026 term.
Me Bourget is a frequent legal commentator in the media, where he helps make complex legal issues accessible to the public. He has written a legal column for *Urbania* magazine and contributed to Bell Media. He also regularly appears on *Isabelle Richer* on RDI, providing analysis of current civil law and judicial developments.
In August 2026, Me Bourget will publish his debut novel, *Promenades Hochelaga*, with Hurlantes Éditrices.
Outside his legal practice, Me Bourget manages a maple grove and enjoys working on construction and renovation projects. He is also a passionate hockey fan and a devoted supporter of the Montreal Canadiens.
