Joseph-Christopher Luamba
Community advocate and litigant in Luamba v. Attorney General of Quebec
Joseph-Christopher Luamba is a financial advisor and community advocate. He became involved in the fight against racial profiling through the landmark *Luamba v. Attorney General of Quebec* case, challenging the legality of Code 636, which allowed police officers to stop any vehicle without reasonable grounds.
After experiencing multiple unjustified traffic stops and witnessing their impact on his community, he pursued his case all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Throughout this journey, Joseph-Christopher has remained actively involved with community organizations, helping equip younger generations to navigate a system that continues to face significant shortcomings. Through his story, he hopes to contribute, one step at a time, to building a more just and equitable justice system.
